In this greasy and instant culture

That popular pizza delivery chain is the epitome of people here. We are fast, alert, attractive (i.e. full of marketing gimmicks), and the quality.. what quality? it's freshly-baked, why would we care what's inside the oven. Up to the point where we don't even care know whether we're eating real food or not.

toes tues

Wanted to update the blog for so many times. Did not happen. Oh I wonder why.

Last whole month I interned for Biskuat marketing division of Mondelez International. They call the internship program "A Joyful Experience". Maybe it was not as joyful but to make it fair, I had so much fun learning about how marketing works in the FMCG industry and meeting new people :] too bad it was so short. I kind of realised what marketers do is my kind of dream job. Designing new products for kids? Designing the whole market plan? Follow up the implementations? All excites the little girl in me. The best part is you could always ask someone else to do all the technicals--the only thing you need is creativity. Too bad it was so short.

But I am moving on.

Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day

Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day (Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai) (2011) is listed as one of the popular Animes on Random Curiosity and that is exactly how I found this sweet heart breaker masterpiece, since, I'm an anime noob. Regret not, just like any other animes on the list, I enjoyed watching this one. In fact, this is the first melo-anime I've watched in recent years. I adopted this Disney-happy-endings bias.

Musings: Catherine Campbell

A recently-discovered gem of Australian artists, yes just few weeks after I decided to be in Indonesia for good. It is not hard to fall in Catherine's artworks, in fact, I adore every each of them. Really, fondly. I knew her through a friend, Frankie, and obviously those two are bestfriends.

Crossroads

Canberra (2011) taken with Superheadz Usagi ASA100

Do you remember Britney's Crossroads?

A sequence of American teenagers corny cliches, you get the idea. Life is all about moving on to the next stepping stone. Dynamic at best. But then there is always one large gap between the tiny ones and that is a perfect definition of crossroads. Hands up for uni, I'm totally done with it but the next question would be what should I do with the baton that I just received? Which stone? Should I take the main street or the alleys? Where? How?

A missing domain, noisy orbits, and yawns

I missed the domain payment period and just realised Blogger cut its domain services. Sigh. Now I have to blababeep with random domain websites. Ah well :]

It's been a month plus since I'm back in Jakarta <3 adjusting back to the hustle && bustle of the Big Durian (literally!). I have constant cravings of foreign placements. My devotion to travel is as much as this urge to discover, learn and perceive. Yet, home is home and Jakarta takes a large chunk in my definition of 'home'. Ah yes, personal definition always matters, no?

I got a hopeless list of blog post drafts since October lolnot see how I was detaching myself again from the net. Everything that rotates around me has become an over-sharer, what a noisy orbit. But being a social media ghost whisperer every once in a while is also not healthy. Yeah, I'm not only adjusting back to the congested boulevards and moral degradation on the streets of Jakarta but also to share a less altruistic and more egoistic updates. As usual I just blargh-ed eveything here after months of none-ness, and clearly I only produce nonsense-ness. I mean, what is this paragraph all about?

Ah! The perfect excuse would be post-second-bikram-class-tinglings. Loving the magic of Yoga classes :) although I'm pretty sure the same law of universe applies to all type of sports. As long as you love to do it, it nurtures magic in your body, mind, and soul.

Yawn yawn. I need to rest my blurry vision.
